Carroll Media publishes the Catholic Standard, the official archdiocesan newspaper, and El Pregonero, the metro area’s oldest Spanish language newspaper, as well as their websites.
The Catholic Standard, founded in 1951, is the weekly newspaper for the Archdiocese of Washington. In print and online, the Catholic Standard continues its work of communicating the teachings of Jesus Christ and showing how the Catholic faith is being lived in the Washington metro area.
El Pregonero is the D.C. area’s oldest Spanish-language weekly. It aims to provide the Hispanic community in the Washington metro area with information about the Catholic Church and its role in the local community as well as local, national and international news of interest.
