His Eminence, Cardinal Wilton Gregory, is Archbishop Emeritus of Washington.

Cardinal Gregory served as the seventh Archbishop of Washington from 2019 – March 2025.  In his retirement, His Eminence serves as our Archbishop Emeritus.
