During the Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper, a priest may wash the feet of 12 people, as Christ washed the feet of the Apostles at the Last Supper. After Mass, the Blessed Sacrament remains on the main altar for a brief period of Adoration, followed by Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
