The Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows is celebrated on September 15 and invites the faithful to reflect on the spiritual martyrdom of the Mother of God and her profound compassion for the sufferings of Jesus Christ. Observed on the day after the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, this memorial highlights Mary’s steadfastness at the foot of the Cross, standing as a model of faith, strength, and love amid the deepest trials.

Devotion to the Sorrowful Mother
Devotion to the Sorrowful Mother traces back centuries, highlighting the “Seven Sorrows” that pierced Mary’s heart.
