People participate in the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion held March 6, 2022 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. At the annual ceremonies held on two successive Sundays at the beginning of Lent, people from parishes across The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington who are preparing to become full members of the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil are welcomed as they begin their Lenten journey of faith.
