Media Advisory: Couples To Renew Marriage Vows at Annual Jubilarian Mass
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Hundreds of couples from Washington, D.C. and the five Maryland counties that make up the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington will have their milestone anniversaries recognized this Sunday at the Jubilarian Mass. During this special annual Mass, Washington Auxiliary Bishop Roy E. Campbell will recognize jubilee anniversaries of marriages ranging from 25 to 70 years.
The Mass will be livestreamed from the archdiocese’s YouTube page.
Parishes from across the archdiocese are represented in this year’s group of couples who have been married a total of 2,346 years. This year, only 50 couples are expected to attend the Mass due to COVID restrictions. Of the total registered couples, 83 have been married for 50 or more years, and one couple has been married for 70 years.
In addition to renewing their vows and receiving a special blessing during Mass, all couples will receive personalized certificates commemorating their special anniversary.
