Annual Blue Mass Tomorrow
to Honor First Responders & Public Safety Officials

WASHINGTON, D.C. — We invite you to join us for the 31st Annual Procession and Blue Mass tomorrow at 12 Noon, Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, the city’s oldest Catholic Church.

Annually, The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington offers this Mass dedicated to honoring the service of first responders, fire safety officials, federal and local law enforcement, and public safety agents, and remembering those who have fallen in the line of duty.

Bishop Roy Campbell, Auxiliary Bishop of Washington, will be the Principal Celebrant and the Homilist for this special Mass, where all who gather will pray that God continues to bless and protect those who heroically serve our community.

This Mass also features the Presentation of Colors, a Reading of the Names of the Fallen, and a Sounding of Taps.

The Mass will be preceded by an entrance procession under an American flag hung by fire ladder trucks over the street at 10th and G Streets, N.W.
