World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly – photo and video submission

Pope Francis invites people all over the world to celebrate a World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly! The U.S. Bishops have set aside September 8, 2024, as a day to celebrate grandparents and the elderly.

Pope Francis encourages the youth to spend time with their grandparents or elderly persons in their parish or neighborhood community, especially those who are alone. Do you have pictures of children and young people visiting, helping, spending time with grandparents or the elderly in your parish community neighborhood? If you or your parish community would like to submit a photo showing how young people are reaching out to grandparents and the elderly, please complete the below form and attach the picture you would like to submit.
