World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly – photo and video submission

Celebrate a World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly! The U.S. Bishops have set aside the first Sunday after Labor Day as a day to celebrate grandparents and the elderly.

Youth can spend time with their grandparents or elderly persons in their parish or neighborhood community, especially those who are alone. Do you have pictures of children and young people visiting, helping, spending time with grandparents or the elderly in your parish community neighborhood? If you or your parish community would like to submit a photo showing how young people are reaching out to grandparents and the elderly, please complete the below form and attach the picture you would like to submit.

¡Celebremos el Día Mundial de los Abuelos y las Personas Mayores! Los obispos de Estados Unidos han designado el primer domingo después del Día del Trabajo como día para celebrar a los abuelos y las personas mayores.

I hereby give permission for the Archdiocese of Washington to use the voice/audio recordings, quotations, photographs, video, and any other images from the digital file provided here to assist in community awareness, educational efforts and/or public relations purposes, including media coverage of school, parish or other events and activities, and public relations/advertising that may include brochures, posters, print, radio, TV, film, internet, or any other electronic media. In exchange for the opportunity to participate in the community awareness programs, educational efforts and/or publicity endeavors of the Archdiocese of Washington, I hereby agree to release and hold harmless the Archdiocese of Washington from any and all claims, demands, causes of action and/or liability of whatever kind or nature arising out of or connected to the use of said voice/audio recordings, quotations, photographs, video, and other images. I hereby waive any right to compensation, fee or royalty for myself, the participant or our successors, heirs or assigns in connection with the production or use of the aforesaid materials.
