Cardinal Gregory to Celebrate Christmas and New Year Masses

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Cardinal Wilton Gregory will celebrate his first Christmas Eve Mass as a Cardinal at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle on December 24, and will celebrate Christmas Day Mass The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. On New Year’s Day, for the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God, Cardinal Gregory will celebrate Mass at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle.

Masses will be streamed online on the Archdiocese of Washington’s YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

December 24, 10 p.m. – Christmas Eve Mass at 

the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle

December 25, 12 p.m. noon – Christmas Day Mass at 

the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

January 1, 2021, 10 a.m. – New Year’s Day Mass for 

the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God at 

the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle
