Traditionis Custodes in The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington

Traditionis Custodes, which means “Guardians of the Tradition,” contains a set of norms for the celebration of what is popularly known as the Traditional Latin Mass.

Traditionis Custodes Norms took effect in three non-parochial churches in The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington on September 21, 2022.

The three locations that may offer the Traditional Latin Mass are the Chapel at Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Forest Glen; The Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America in Washington, D.C.; and the mission church of Saint Dominic in Aquasco.
