Rachel and PJ Anderson
We believe that life is a gift. We exist to connect willing people with life-giving causes. One step at a time.
This is just the beginning. GiveLife is a brand new movement made up of compelled, loving individuals, coming together to do our part in building a culture of life. We will take baby steps together to mobilize life-giving individuals, organizations, and businesses around the country to unite and offer measurable, practical ways to spread life in the world. Our conversations strive to transcend politics and religion, and division surrounding “the issues.” At the same time, we want our lives to match our words, as we seek to find how we can DO what we believe to be true.
Rachel and PJ Anderson are the founders of Give Life, along with their friends Britt and Cadle Edwards. How do I prepare my youth?
Here are some great ideas:
Pray the rosary or prepare a prayer service for the bus ride
If you have a long bus ride, watch a prolife movie on the way
Spiritually adopt a baby before the Youth Rally
Ask a student who has attended before to give a brief witness on the impact of going to the Youth Rally and National March for Life
Stay involved year round!
Do you have other ideas? Share them with us!
What am I allowed to bring?
Drawstring bags with one pocket, NOT BACKPACKS, are allowed along with outside food and water. Please note that there will be a security bag check at Capital One Arena. Please try to limit the number of bags you bring into the arena.
Outside groups are not allowed to distribute any materials at the Youth Rally and Mass for Life. Groups distributing materials may be asked to leave.
Please do not bring stickers, large banners or poles.
Can you help me find a place to stay?
Occasionally we hear of openings at some of our parishes, but please note – due to the massive amount of time and attention that goes into hosting this event, we do not have the capacity to manage a full listing of parishes that host groups and their current availability.
The Youth Rally and Mass for Life occurs each year in conjunction with the annual National March for Life held on (or near) the anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade court decision making abortion legal in this country.
The Rally strives to encourage the youth participating in the national March for Life in their witness as disciples of Christ and promoters of the Gospel of Life. It is the largest annual archdiocesan event, which in many ways has grown to become a national (even international) event with pilgrims traveling from as far away as the US Virgin Islands and Australia.
Join us in prayer that as a nation, we may stop wandering in the wilderness of the culture of death and may enter into “life in abundance” (Jn 10:10) through our faith in Jesus Christ and our proclamation of the Gospel of Life.
