The formation of the catechist includes various dimensions. The deepest one has to do with being a catechist, even before acting as a catechist.

Catechist Certification

Since catechists must be formed for evangelization in the present world, attention must be paid to harmonizing truth and witness. The Secretariat for Catechesis has developed an archdiocesan catechist formation program that incorporates the theological, pastoral and pedagogical formation to be competent communicators of the truth of the faith ministering with children, youth, and adults in the archdiocese.
