In memory & Celebration of the Life and Ministry of The Most Reverend Mario Dorsonville

The Most Reverend Mario E. Dorsonvillle (October 31, 1960 – January 19, 2024) championed the effort to establish the Latino Scholars Fund at The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington in 2020. The primary goal is to support Hispanic families who are seeking a Catholic education for their children as well as bridging the tuition gap and making Catholic education affordable. Bishop Dorsonville once said, “This is Our Time. Our Calling. Our Imperative to lift up these students, their families, and the schools they attend.’

Today, dozens children are growing intellectually and spiritually with values that will last a lifetime in part because of the generosity of so many who have supported the Latino Scholars Fund over the last four years.

In memory of Bishop Dorsonville, let’s join together to do more. Your contribution to the Latino Scholars Fund will help provide the means for more students to benefit from the academic and spiritual excellence of the Catholic Schools in our region. Further, the growth of enrollment and diversity of the student body enhances the vibrancy of each school, benefiting all students, their families, and their communities. We encourage you to leave an optional message and/or a picture you may have with Bishop Dorsonville.
