Special Mass to Celebrate the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The faithful and members of the community are invited to gather in solidarity and prayer for migrants and refugees at a special Mass to commemorate the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees. Cardinal Robert McElroy, Archbishop of Washington, will celebrate the Mass and give the homily. Bishop Robert Boxie, III, Auxiliary Bishop of Washington, will lead the rosary prayer.

This year’s theme for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees, chosen by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, is “Even Just One of These Children,” highlighting the challenges of displaced minors and the need to protect their safety, dignity, and rights. Rooted in the Gospel and Catholic social teaching, the Church calls all people of faith to welcome, accompany, and protect migrants and refugees, especially the most vulnerable.
