Youth Ministry

The Office of Youth Ministry/Catholic Youth Organization (OYM/CYO) seeks to help young people find true happiness by coming to know and love Jesus Christ in His Church.

Through programs, events and activities, OYM/CYO assists parishes and families in offering young people the full truth about life, love, competition, education, solidarity and security. The organization seeks to foster the personal and spiritual growth of young people in such a way that they will be able to confront the real challenges and sorrows of human life and develop their talents in service of their family, parish and neighborhood.

“It is Jesus you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you…. It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with your lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be grounded down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, making the world more human and more fraternal.”

~ Pope John Paul II, World Youth Day, August 2000
