Young Adults Seek Spiritual Renewal during Summer Retreat

More than 100 young adults will gather for a weekend of spiritual renewal and learn more about their faith at a unique summer retreat.

The retreat, co-sponsored by the Office of Young Adult Ministry and St. Aloysius Church, is open to young adults, ages 18 to 40, who are single or married. Dynamic presentations will be offered by Jesuit priests and scholastics on practical ways to connect faith and daily life and insights on the how the deepest desires of the heart lead Catholics to the Heart of Christ.

The retreat will be led by the Apostleship of Prayer and will introduce the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Participants will gain insight into recognizing God’s action in their lives and leave with practical spiritual tools for discerning God’s will, from the small daily choices to life-changing decisions. On Friday evening, talks, adoration and a coffeehouse social will be held. On Saturday, participants will have the opportunity to attend talks, small group sharing, and Mass. Participants will also have the opportunity for Reconciliation. On Saturday, light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
