Washington Auxiliary Bishop Martin D. Holley will be principal celebrant and homilist for the Archdiocese of Washington’s annual Mass to celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.:

This year’s theme is “Work for Justice and Find Peace.” The music during the Mass will be provided by the Archdiocesan Mass Choir (members are from parishes throughout the archdiocese) under the direction of music director Edison “Eddie” Cromwell and co-director, Marvin Ford.
Prior to Mass, the program will include musical selections from the St. Cecilia African Gospel Choir, a group of African Catholics based in the Archdiocese of Washington, and dance presentations by a combined group from St. Augustine and St. Teresa of Avila parishes in Washington, DC. The program also will feature dramatic readings of Dr. King’s speeches by WPFW 89.3 FM broadcaster, Von Martin. A reception will follow in the church hall after the Mass. All are invited to attend this free event.
