Marian Pilgrimage on October 11

October 08, 2009

The annual Archdiocesan Marian Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2009.

The Rosary will begin in the Upper Church at 2:30 p.m. and will be followed by Mass at 3:00 p.m.

The theme this year is “Mary, Mother of the Church and of our families.” The pilgrimage will serve as a reminder to us all of our common call to holiness from God by living out our vocations in an ever-increasing secular world. The principal celebrant and homilist will be Washington Auxiliary Bishop Martin D. Holley.

The Basilica is located adjacent to The Catholic University of America at 400 Michigan Avenue, NE, Washington, DC (Red Line: Brookland-CUA Metro; free parking).
