Washington Archbishop Donald W. Wuerl kicks off St. Patrick’s Day Weekend with the annual Mass to honor the feast day of Ireland’s patron saint:

Before Mass, bagpipers from the DC Emerald Society will provide music outside the church. Following Mass, Irish dancers from the O’Neill-James School of Dance will perform outside the church (approximately 12:30 p.m.).
St. Patrick’s Chorale will provide the music, including traditional Irish anthems and hymns. Dozens of priests and hundreds of Catholics from throughout the area are expected to attend.
St. Patrick’s Church, the oldest Catholic parish in the original District of Columbia, was established in 1794. The church is located at 10th and G Streets, NW.
