Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School to Close Thursday and Friday Due to Water Main Break in Takoma Park

December 19, 2007

Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School in Takoma Park, Maryland has canceled exams scheduled to take place on Thursday and Friday, December 20 and 21 as the school continues to experience low water pressure following yesterday’s water main break on New Hampshire Avenue. Work-study students should report as usual to their work assignments this week.

Exams will be rescheduled for January.

The school canceled exams yesterday after losing water pressure. Today, exams were held. The school had water pressure early this morning, then lost it. Bottled water was brought in and other steps were taken to address the lack of water.

Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School is a new Catholic school located at 1010 Larch Avenue, Takoma Park, one block off of New Hampshire Avenue, near East-West Highway. Students participate in a unique work-study program, helping to defray the cost of their tuition and providing them with work experience.
