Residents, family and friends of Bartholomew House, an assisted living residence owned by the Archdiocese of Washington’s Victory Housing, will celebrate its 5th anniversary this Saturday with an open house recreating the spirit of the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. Events will include an original “radio skit” performed by residents, a barbershop quartet, clowns and Mr. Mac McGarry, host of the popular television program It’s Academic, as the master of ceremonies:

Saturday, July 19
11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
St. Bartholomew House (adjacent to St. Bartholomew Church)
6904 River Road, Bethesda, MD

The barbershop quartet will perform at 1:00 p.m. Residents will present the radio play, “A St. Louis Scoop,” at 2:00 p.m.

Bartholomew House is home to 30 men and women. It is one of nine affordable communities for seniors and two family housing projects operated by Victory Housing in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties and the District of Columbia.
