Holy Hour for Catholic School Students
Jesus said, “Let the children come to me and do not hinder them; for to such belong the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Mt. 19:14)
The Office of Missions is organizing a Holy Hour for Catholic School Students in the Archdiocese of Washington. It will increase students’ awareness of their missionary responsibility to pray for the missions of the Church and its missionaries. In addition, it will give them an opportunity to grow stronger in their relationship with Christ in the Eucharist.
The Holy Hour will be held on March 11, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Franciscan Monastery located at 1400 Quincy St. NE, Washington, DC 20017. Confessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the Holy Hour will begin at 10:30 a.m. We invite students from grade 3 through 8 to participate. The morning will include Confessions, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a short message about Eucharistic Adoration, the message of the children of Fatima, World Mission Rosary, and end with Benediction and Litany of the Saints. The principal celebrant will be the Most Reverend Michael William Fisher, Auxiliary Bishop of Washington.
