Keynote speakers

Conference keynote speakers are Andrea Bartoli and Paola Piscitelli, members and leaders of the Sant'Egidio community. They are husband and wife, and as they have lived out their Christian calling they have personally been involved in conflict resolution and end of the use of the death penalty. The keynote presentation is grounded in the conference theme Ambassadors for Christ, and will reflect on how social ministry volunteers serve most fruitfully by responding to the call of Christ and the Church. Bartoli and Piscitelli are sure to inspire you as their presentation reflects their experience and understanding of Pope Benedict’s social encyclical Caritas in Veritate.

The keynote presentation will be followed by group discussion.

Workshop Information

You will have time to attend and participate in two workshops in the afternoon session. You can also attend a third workshop in the “Early Bird” session at 8:15.  We will continue to update this page as we add workshops and/or need to cancel others because speakers can no longer participate. Please visit this page frequently to determine the availability of workshops.

We are asking you to indicate your interest in workshops when you register to help us determine whether a workshop should be held once, twice or not at all. After indicating your interest in particular workshops, please plan on attending them at the conference.
