7:30 am Registration and Coffee
Talks will include:
Men of Mercy – Fr. Joseph Rogers:
Fr. Rogers will set the theme for the day “Men of Mercy” leading us through the themes that describe how Jesus the ‘Man of Mercy’ shows us the merciful face of the father and calls us to live lives of mercy. He will explain in practical terms how this means living lives deeply committed to Christ conformed to him in obedience. This talk will be a call to faithful and courageous leadership, through prayer, reconciliation, and living holiness through devotion to the Blessed Virgin. Fr. Rogers is the pastor of St. John Neumann in Gaithersburg and a graduate of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family at The Catholic University of America.
Merciful like the Father – Mr. Patrick Kilner:
Pat will help us explore themes from marriage and family life as a husband and father in which we experience mercy from our families and are a source of mercy to them. Sharing from his witness he will also address his role of mercy as a business professional. Patrick is the CEO of the Kilner Group, Inc. and is a parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rockville. He graduated from the Catholic University of America in 2001 and earned his Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Navarre in Pamplona, Spain in 2003. He and his wife Elena have four children.
In addition to breakout sessions where you will have the opportunity to gain practical insights for living as a man of mercy, a highlight of this year’s conference will include an opportunity to see the world class exhibit on the life of St. John Paul II and to venerate his relic at his national shrine located right here in the Archdiocese of Washington.
The cost of the conference includes lunch and snacks.
