Giving

Jesus has asked us all to be good stewards of our talents and gifts – to use them to help build up His Kingdom on Earth and to provide for others who are less fortunate. As Christian stewards, we are asked to use our time and talents to advance the ministry of the Church and to donate a portion of our treasure for God’s work.

2016 Retired Priests’ Collection
Our archdiocesan priests have been there for you and your families, please be there for them to assist in the dignity of their retirement and to honor their lives of service.

Planned Giving
Your support of the archdiocese through planned giving is an answer to God’s calling for us to serve one another. With thoughtful planned giving you can ensure both the long-term health of the archdiocese’s charitable and educational mission and the fulfillment of your personal financial objectives.

Cardinal’s Appeal
Christ challenges us to begin to build the Kingdom of God now through actions of charity and works of care and compassion. Each year, the Cardinal’s Appeal blesses us with the opportunity to reach out to people in our community who are in great need.

Tuition Assistance Fund
The Tuition Assistance Fund was established by Cardinal Wuerl in 2009 to raise funds to help as many girls and boys as possible receive a quality Catholic school education.  By supporting the Tuition Assistance Fund you help make up the difference between the cost of tuition and what an individual family can afford to pay.

Second Collection Schedule
As Catholics, we are part of a universal Church that extends beyond our own parish boundaries. National second collections combine our resources to support important causes that carry out the mission of the Church.

Dear Lord, teach me to be generous,
Teach me to serve you as you deserve,
To give and not to count the cost,
To fight and not to heed the wound,
To toil and not to seek for rest,
To labor and not to seek reward,
Save that of knowing that I do your will.

Amen.
