Morning Mass for Life
The Archdiocese of Washington’s Office of Young Adult Ministry and Pro-Life Office are hosting a new event on the occasion of this year’s March for Life: Morning Mass for Life. This event is directed toward busy working professionals in the city who want to pray in solidarity with those marching.
When: 7:30 a.m. on January 19, 2018
Where: St. Mary Mother of God parish in Chinatown.
Following a 7:30am daily mass we will offer adoration, worship music and a reflection given by a Sister of Life!
Young Adult Training:
Parish staff, volunteer parish and regional young adult leaders from around the Archdiocese of Washington are invited for a day of formation, fellowship, and practical training. These trainings also provide a great opportunity for you to recruit new leaders onto your team by inviting them to learn more about YA ministry through the training. Everyone who is a YA leader in the Archdiocese of Washington is asked to come to at least one training each year as a way of continuing to grow in our faith, develop ministerial skills, and to deepen our call to service in our parishes.
Young Adult Retreat:
Isn’t it time for a retreat away from all the busyness? In young adult years of transition we reflect how our true identity is found in Christ! Whoever is baptized into Christ Jesus is a mystically adopted son or daughter of the Eternal Father and has received the gift of new life in the Spirit. This is our true identity. The purpose of this retreat is to come to a vivid awareness of who we are in Christ, and how to live by his Spirit of Love towards the Father each day.
Join other young adults across the Archdiocese of Washington Jan. 27 & 28 at the St. John Paul II Shrine for a retreat featuring: conferences by Dominican priests, small group reflections, Eucharistic Adoration and confession, daily time for personal prayer, healing blessings, Saturday daily Mass and Sunday Mass, etc.
7 Church Walk:
DCCatholic invites all young adults (20s and 30s) to the 15th Annual 7 Church Walk!
Join hundreds of young adults for our annual Lenten pilgrimage as we continue a Roman tradition in DC.
Meet: 10AM, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Shaw.
Bring: Comfortable shoes (we’ll walk 3 miles!), rosary, bag lunch or lunch money.
